Porcelain veneers are made to cover the facial or front surface of the tooth. They are a thin shell of ceramic that is bonded directly to the front and top surfaces of the teeth. It is very similar to placing acrylic fingernails on top of natural nails.

A Simple Solution
At the first visit the tooth (teeth) are reduced by approximately 0.5 mm-2.0 mm. An impression of the teeth is taken and sent to our design lab for the fabrication of the veneers. Depending on the amount of reduction necessary, a temporary veneer may be placed.
At the second visit and after the teeth have been thoroughly cleaned and prepared, the permanent veneers are placed with a resin material and cured, or hardened with a special curing light. When the actual veneer is placed the fit and color is reevaluated and adjustments can be made.
After bonded to the teeth, the ultra-thin porcelain veneers are virtually undetectable and highly resistant to staining. In addition to resisting stain, they reflect light and are among the strongest and most natural looking restoration available.
